Nereus roadshow stopped off in Transinne - The 16/02/2012

The aerospace cluster of Wallonia Skywin invited the European consortium Nereus to make the first step of its roadshow through European areas. Skywin decided to organize the conference in the business park of Galaxia, more precisely at the Euro Space Center which has an auditorium large enough to receive the number of attendees expected.

Nereus's mission is to promote the use of space applications for a variety of purposes. Therefore, Galaxia was not an innocent choice since this mission is entirely in line with the theme of the park.

Mr. Alain Bénéteau, President of Nereus, was accompanied by his General Secretary, Mrs. Roya Ayasi.

After a short introduction in front of a large audience by Mr. Pierre Sonveau, President of Skywin, Mr. Bénéteau made the most of this exceptional setting by presenting Nereus's message to the Walloon Minister-President; Rudy Demotte, and his Ministers in order to increase their awareness of the many possibilities offered by space applications in their areas.

Then, Mr. Sonveau took the floor again to present Skywin's support policy, highlighting one specific axis: “More applications”. The latter is clearly oriented towards the deployment of new space applications. Afterwards, the President of Skywin presented the network of actors which allows the concrete implementation of the cluster's policy and which the park of Galaxia and its partners (ESA, WSL, Créaction) play a leading role in alongside companies.
