A Business Centre hosting the WSLlux Incubator

When you decide to set up operations in the business centre, you benefit from personalised support in the ultramodern, secure infrastructure at the heart of one of the largest photovoltaic architectural projects in Europe

Support to entreprises

Galaxia Business Park includes the high tech business centre which is dedicated to two types of companies specialized in space applications:

  1. confirmed companies
  2. start-ups and spin-offs. Above the range of standard services provided in the Business Centre their projects can be incubated in WSLlux structure. In other words these young companies will be entitled to receive an additional and extensive range of services dedicated to support new growing companies. WSLlux is the extention of the reputated Walloon incubator WSL. This incubator is specialized in high technologies originally diverted from space.

Ultramodern and secured infrastructure

1. Safety for the people and for the data.

2. Equipments from the cutting edge of technology are proposed :

  • identification system,
  • access control system with magnetic badges,
  • electricity supplied by photovoltaic panels (4,700 sqm),
  • an optic fiber link between the Business Center and the ESA ground station,
  • an optic fiber link between the Business Center and the worldwide network,
  • ultra high-performance Internet connections,
  • a server room designed as a fully pre-installed Tier 2 data center (TIA/EIA-942 standard),
  • two power shortage backup systems (short term and long term).

Innovative and sustainable architectural concept

  • The biggest architectural building dedicated to solar energy production in Belgium: 4,700 sqm of specific photovoltaic panels are integrated to the building,
  • The yearly production is 370,000 kWh (covering the need of 90 families) and the expected CO2 saving is estimated to 170 tons every year,
  • Rain water is recycled,
  • Use of wood in the structure and as well in the outer trimming of the offices,
  • Heat pump
